After eight years, we have all grown very fond of Father Joseph Pranzo.  Fr. Joe has now moved on to pastor a Parish in Florida, and we all pray for his success.  Our new pastor, Fr. Renaldo Vecchiato, has arrived.  Over time, he will become as much a fixture around here as Fr. Joe was.  In the mean time, he is probably feeling more uncomfortable than he has in a long time.  I have been a member of this parish for 30 years and I am a newbie compared to many who have lived here their whole lives.  This is a parish where we welcome the stranger, where “All are welcome.”  We are getting to know one new pastor; he is getting to know a couple hundred of us.  Please, do all you can to make him feel at home.
